When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. I loved T1 and T2, and after that it has been a bit of "meeh".
Genisys gave me the same enjoyment as T2 gave in its time. Liked the scenes that expanded the scenes from the first movie, and Arnolds T800 humor made me laugh at least.
The 3 buddies that saw it with me all gave it 10/10.
I do however think that the movie would be confusing to someone who has never seen the first two movies at least. Since it played a lot on the stories, characters and humor from those two movies.
Also liked that they stayed true to the Terminator-universe in both story/time line and technology shown in "the future"-part.
